Fungi

Fungi are neither plant nor animal, but have some characteristics of each.

Fungi have no chlorophyll.
Fungi reproduce by spores.
Examples of fungi: mushrooms, rusts, smuts, puffballs, truffles, bread moulds and yeasts

Flowering plants

Can you identify what flowering plants these are?

Non-flowering plant (The ferns)

The non-flowering plant:

• reproduces by spores (found on the underside of the leaves)


• cannot produce flowers at all


• Examples of non-flowering plants: moss, ferns, conifers such as pines

The world of snails

We spent an exciting 2 weeks on the study of snails in our Science lessons. We learned to draw and label a diagram of a snail. The observations from the "cotton bud" experiment reveal one characteristic of living things which is 'Living Things respond to chnages around them'.

Hello kids and parents of 3E!

We are in the middle of Term 1 Week 8 with piles of practice papers to do and that will mean alot of marking for all the teachers. Here is a summary of what will be tested in Week 9, our CA week:
